Esvagt's bottom line hurt by dire offshore market in 2017

Esvagt was hit by the tough offshore markets in 2017. This year looks slightly better and the carrier is prepared for increased activity after several weak years, interim CEO Kristian Ole Jakobsen tells ShippingWatch.

The challenging market conditions in the offshore sector hit shipping company Esvagt harder in 2017 than in the previous years, as evident from the Danish carrier's annual report, published Friday.

Esvagt's bottom line shows a profit of DKK 43 million (USD 6.9 million), down from a DKK 155.5 million profit in 2016.
