Glencore sells large stake in Rosneft

Swiss trading house Glencore is selling almost its entire shareholding in Russia's Rosneft to its Qatar-based investment partner after a planned sale to a Chinese energy investor fell apart.

Glencore is selling almost its entire stake in Russian energy major Rosneft.

The Swiss trading firm owns 19 percent of Rosneft together with Qatar Investment Authority, and the two partners had agreed to sell 14.16 percent of the shares to CEFC China Energy, reports Wall Street Journal.
