Norwegian offshore strike continues with more than 1500 on strike

The conflict in the Norwegian rig sector has escalated over the weekend with several hundreds more rig workers joining the strike related to the wage dispute.

The disputing partners in the Norwegian offshore sector have not reached an agreement over the weekend, so now even more rig workers are now on strike.

Last week, 669 rig workers halted their work in connection with wage and pension negotiations for employees in the offshore sector, where the Norwegian union Safe and the Norwegian Shipowner's Association have not managed to reach an agreement. And nothing has changed over the weekend, both parties confirm to Sysla.
