Aker BP doubles its profit in the fourth quarter

Aker BP finished 2019 with record production and sales figures, and the Johan Sverdrup partner was thus able to double its bottom line result.

The Norwegian sector splits time into before and after the opening of Johan Sverdrup. Already – as one might be tempted to say – because the field only started production in October and is in the process of increasing production levels.

Nonetheless, the opening of the major field has tremendously adorned Aker BP's, one of the partners in the field, results for the fourth quarter, shows the financial report published Tuesday in connection with the company's capital markets day.
