René Kofod-Olsen aims for new CEO position after parting with DP World carriers

René Kofod-Olsen stepped down as CEO at Topaz during spring, but now the 48-year-old is ready for a new executive position, he tells ShippingWatch in an interview. He also talks about Topaz being far along in its IPO process before it was sold to DP World.

For more than seven years, René Kofod-Olsen was the CEO of offshore shipping company Topaz, until he left the company in March. But now, if he has his way, he will soon be back in the game in a new CEO position, and he does not rule out the shipping industry, he says in an interview with ShippingWatch.

"I'm still a young person with a great passion for what I do, and I think I can create value going forward as a CEO," says Kofod-Olsen, who lives with his family in Dubai.
