Pirates kidnap nine from BW Offshore vessel off Nigeria

Nine employees from a BW Offshore FPSO vessel have been kidnapped by pirates off the coast of Nigeria, the company informs in a press release. The incident has ended and the remaining crew is unharmed.

At 4.20 A.M. local time, floating production storage and offloading vessel Sendje Berge, a so-called FPSO, was attacked by pirates off the coast of Nigeria, informs owner of the vessel, shipping company BW Offshore, in a notice to the stock exchange.

Nine of the crew members aboard were kidnapped by the pirates. All are Nigerian nationals.
