Prosafe continues negotiating with creditors about expired debt agreement

Prosafe's deal with creditors to cancel debt payments of around USD 1.5 billion expired today, Friday. The company remains in "constructive" dialog with its lenders on a solution, however.

Prosafe's agreement to postpone its debt expired on Friday, but the offshore company is still negotiating with lenders about a solution to its debt problems.

On several occasions, Prosafe has been allowed to cancel debt payments totaling just over USD 1.5 billion. The latest agreement with creditors was extended in June and lasted until July 31.
