Esvagt nears ownership change and US breakthrough

Offshore and wind carrier Esvagt has now been under the ownership of two private equity firms for six years. This ownership will not last indefinitely, CEO says to ShippingWatch. June is set to bring the first contracts on the US offshore wind market.

Offshore and wind carrier Esvagt plans to launch an attempt to conquer its first major customers on the US market for offshore wind farms from next month. Esvagt does so together with a new joint venture partner.

Meanwhile, the Denmark-based company's current ownership, two private equity firms, nears its expiration date, acknowledges CEO Peter Lytzen in an interview with ShippingWatch.
