Aker Solutions secures big contract for subsea business

Chevron hires Norwegian company Aker Solutions to supply a gas compression system to the Jansz-Io field in Australian waters.

Aker Solutions has received its second order for a gas compression facility, this time from Chevron, in a deal worth NOK 7 billion (USD 811 million), Aker Solutions informs the press in a statement.

"Globally, this is the second subsea gas compression system delivered by Aker Solutions and demonstrates our pioneering spirit to create value for our customers. Our world-leading technology improves field recoverability while offering carbon emission efficiencies compared to traditional compression alternatives," writes Aker Solutions Chief Executive Kjetel Digre in a statement.
