Clarksons sees slow improvement in offshore sector

Rising oil prices are having an invigorating effect on the offshore industry. Investments in new oil and gas projects are up, and offshore wind is seeing rapid development, notes analyst firm Clarksons. However, financing of oil and gas projects could prove a challenge going forward.

The offshore sector is on the path to recovery thanks to rising oil prices, but it's still too soon for the sector to breathe easy, according to analyst firm Clarksons Research.

The analyst firm concludes in a new report that cautious optimism is catching on in the sector after a steep drop in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
