Norwegian oil lobby confident in continued extraction

Even though one of the incoming Norwegian government's probable coalition parties wants to end the domestic oil and gas industry, the sector is not concerned about the future.

The three Norwegian parties, Labour, Centre, and Socialist Left, that won a majority of parliamentary mandate in the country's recent general election are in agreement about many policy issues. The future of Norwegian oil and gas, however, is not one of these.

Whereas both Labour and Centre favor maintaining the domestic fossil fuel sector, the Socialist Left advocates discontinuation.
