BP beats earnings forecast by a billion dollars

The British oil and gas supermajor reports operating earnings totaling a little under USD 13bn in this year’s second quarter, citing factors such as ”exceptional oil trading performance.”

Following a long row of other oil and gas companies publishing interim financial statements showing a highly lucrative period, BP Plc. also reports having had a highly lucrative second quarter of 2022.

Profit comes to USD 9.3bn in this year’s Q2, up from the first quarter’s bottom line written in red showing USD -20.4bn.
