Statoil plans new giant British investment

Statoil plans to invest more than USD 5.4 billion in the expansion of a British oil field, a project that will require several hundred new employees.

Statoil plans to invest more than USD 5.4 billion in expanding the Bressey oil field on the British continental shelf, writes offshore.no.

Along with the so-called Mariner expansion, Bressay will require a new operational office in Aberdeen, where Statoil will employ 200-300 people. Furthermore, the fields will require around 500 offshore employees.
