Maersk Oil has executed an option and extended its contract on the jack-up rig Energy Enhancer by one year, says Northern Offshore, which owns the rig, according to TDN Finans.

The contract extension increases Northern Offshore's orderbook by approx. USD 52 million. Maersk Oil has thus executed two of its three possible one-year options on the rig. The extension applies from mid-July of this year.
