
The fraternization between Russia and China could benefit the Chinese energy companies, as Bloomberg reports on Tuesday that Vladimir Putin has offered to sell a part of Russia's second-largest oil project to "Chinese friends."
The offer was allegedly made during a meeting in eastern Siberia between the Russian president and Chinese vice president Zhang Gaoli, and is said to involve the enormous Vankor project, which produced 440,000 barrels of oil per day in the 4th quarter.
