Huge interest in North Sea oil exploration

The Danish Energy Agency has received a record-high number of applications in the seventh bidding round for oil exploration in the Danish part of the North Sea.

25 applications from oil companies have been submitted to the Danish Energy Agency in the seventh bidding round for oil and gas explorations in the North Sea, says the agency in a statement.

The statement informs that this number is higher than has been the case in previous bidding rounds. In comparison, the energy agency received 17 applications in the 6th bidding round.
