BP in deficit following Deepwater settlement

British BP's result took a massive dive after the the first six months of the year. This setback was mainly caused by massive costs related to the Deepwater Horizon aftermath.

Oil giant BP saw its result take a steep dive in the first half of 2015.

The oil major finished at a total deficit, adjusted for one-off items, of USD 3.22 billion, compared to a profit of USD 6.89 billion in the first half of 2014, according to the company's interim report, published Tuesday.
