Port of Gothenburg opens taps on environmental fuel

The first vessel has been served by a bunker facility in the Port of Gothenburg, where tanker vessels can tank LNG while the vessels load or discharge.

Vessels will be able to bunker more environmentally friendly fuels such as liquefied natural gas and floating bio fuels in a new bunker facility in the Port of Gothenburg.

A vessel from local shipping company Terntank was the first to use the new facility, owned and operated by infrastructure company Swedegas, which invests in energy systems.
