Chinese port to challenge Singapore's bunker dominance

Chinese port Zhoushan is much smaller than Singapore in terms of bunker deliveries, but the port has big plans to challenge the world's biggest bunker port, reports Reuters.

The port in Zhoushan is ready to compete with the world's biggest bunker port. The port's location in China very close to Shanghai is the main reason that the port – though much smaller than Singapore in terms of bunker deliveries – can compete.

Furthermore, the Chinese government supports the port's strategy, reports Reuters.
