DP World reports growing volumes in third quarter

Emirati port company DP World continued to grow in the third quarter, handling close to 20 million containers at the group's terminals during the period.

DP World is cashing in on the red-hot container market, which has increased the volume of containers handled at the port company's terminals during the third quarter.

The Dubai-based company handled a total of 19.8 containers in the third quarter, an increase of 8.1 percent compared to the same period last year, writes the company in an update, which also reports growth in volumes during the first nine months of the year of 11.9 percent to 58.4 million teu.
