Waiting time is down in port of Shanghai although congestion remains high

The port of Shanghai is slowly returning to normal levels despite congestion still remaining high for this time of year, a report from database VesselsValue shows.

Despite congestion at Shanghai’s port still being high for this time of the year, a normalization of the numbers is beginning to show as the Covid wave that has held the city in a fierce lockdown eases up.

According to numbers from the maritime database VesselsValue, waiting times are now down to 34 hours for tankers, bulkers and container vessels from a peak of 66 hours.
