Maersk consortium to use the new London Gateway

The new, major container port London Gateway has secured its first costumer, the South African Europe Container Service consortium, which includes Maersk Line and Safmarine.

London Gateway has announced that the new port has secured its first customer, in the form of the South African Europe Container Service consortium (SAECS), which operates services between Europe and Southern Africa, writes Lloyd's List. This marks the first confirmed service in the new major port, which is expected to open in the fourth quarter this year.
