DP World to build new port in Ecuador

Arabian terminal player DP World has won a 50-year concession to develop a multi-purpose port in Ecuador. Total investments will exceed USD 1 billion and the port will have a capacity of 750,000 teu.

DP World has won a 50-year concession to develop a greenfield port project in Ecuador.

The project, in Posorja, 65 kilometers from Ecuador's main business center Guayaquil, involves a phase one investment of USD 500 million and projected combined investments of more than USD 1 billion, informs DP World in a press release.
