Numerous new startups have emerged in the shipping and logistics sector in recent years, and there is competition to secure the right employees. Habitual thinking among the sector's established players bring tough requirements for new companies in particular.
This means that there is as big a need to hire people familiar with the shipping sector as there is a need for outsiders who can ask the right questions and change the way business is done, says Jan van Casteren, VP Europe at Flexport, in an interview with ShippingWatch.
