Nordea made 195 million euros profit on shipping

Nordea's shipping and offshore commitments are moving in the right direction. In the fourth quarter 2013, impairments on loans came to one million euros, while the same figure was 20 million euros in the previous quarter. Annual profits increase steadily.   

Things are moving in the right direction for the major shipping bank Nordea, as the company in the 4th quarter 2013 was once again able to reduce the loss related to being a major player in the industry, according to the bank's annual report for 2013, published today, Wednesday. Impairments on loans for the shipping and offshore sector in the fourth quarter came to just one million euros, a solid improvement over the previous quarter, where the same figure was 20 million euros.
