Nordea: 2015 and 2016 will be good to shipping

The shipping industry will do much better in just two years, Head of Shipping Hans Christian Kjelsrud tells ShippingWatch. Developments in offshore set to slow down.

Nordea's recent interim report showed improvements, and the report also aired positive expectations for shipping. Improvements that Nordea's Head of Shipping, Hans Christian Kjelsrud, now confirms to ShippingWatch.

"We believe that the next two years will bring a gradual improvement of the market. This will happen due to an expected increase in the growth of the global economy, while the pace of newbuilding deliveries is also set to decrease. The next two years will see the delivery of a much lower number of ships than in the past three or four years," he says.
