Clarksons boosted by Platou acquisition

The Platou acquisition had a positive impact in the first interim report from Clarksons Platou following the merger the with the Norwegian analyst agency. CEO Andi Case is pleased with the quick integration of Platou.

Even though the shipping industry is being tossed around between sliding oil and commodity prices, Clarksons Platou was more than able to sustain its performance in the broker and analysts agency's second quarter interim report.

The company grew its revenue 30 percent, to GBP 145.4 million from GBP 111.7 million in the same period last year, according to the interim report, published Monday, which represents the first full interim report following Clarksons acquisition of Norwegian analyst agency RS Platou ASA..
