DSV to lay off several thousand employees

DSV is in the midst of integrating the acquisition of US-based UTi Worldwide. Among other things, this means that "a few thousand employees" will be laid off, says DSV CFO Jens Lund in an interview with ShippingWatch. Around one fourth of UTi's employees have been switched to the DSV platform at this point.

DSV is working full swing to streamline the company after the takeover of US-based UTi Worldwide.

The executive team at the Danish freight forward has not shied away from the fact that the acquisition would result in numerous overlaps in the workforce, and would thus require layoffs. And DSV CFO Jens Lund is now ready to clarify to ShippingWatch what this specifically entails.
