Wärtsila borrows €150 million for research and development

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has granted a €150 million loan to Wärtsila. The company will use the money to develop its activities in research and development, Wärtsila informs.

The Finnish company Wärtsila has just been granted a €150 million loan by The European Investment Bank (EIB) to develop its activities in research and development in several European countries, Wärtsila informs in a press release. The loan will help the company to continue its efforts to develop its motors, which may help the shipping industry once the new emission requirements take effect.
