
"The biggest challenge over the next couple of years is that we have to work with global clients, which is a problem for us here in Denmark because of the time difference,” says Morten Kamp Knudsen, president of the shipbroking company Breinholt A/S. He notices that an increasing number of companies are moving parts of their business to the Far East or the United States in order to be represented in those time zones.
“It creates the challenge that, as a company, you need to be able to work around the clock. One used to say that decisions concerning European companies were made in Europe. That is no longer the case. The power to decide now lies in the Asia-Pacific area, and it is a problem if a Danish company is not a part of that market,” says Morten Kamp Knudsen.
