Torm empties order book

The Danish shipping company, Torm, cancels the final ship in their order book at a loss of approximately USD 2 million

The struggling shipping company Torm has cancelled the last ship in its order books. It is a MR product tanker planned to be delivered in the second quarter of 2014

“Following this cancellation the Torm order book is empty. A considerable reduction in our order book investment commitments has been a key element towards our company’s long-term financial solution”, says Torm Chief Financial Officer, Roland M. Andersen.
