Damco: Europe remains the best platform for global business

Europe is the ideal place from which to run a global business because time zones and flight connections enable easy access to the entire world, says CEO of the Maersk-owned company Damco, Rolf Habben-Jansen.

Those expecting the Maersk-owned forwarding- and logistics company Damco to move its headquarters from Copenhagen to Hong Kong or Sao Paulo, are looking at a long period of waiting. According to CEO of Damco, Rolf Habben-Jansen, Europe is a far better place to do international business from.

“No one knows how the market looks 25 years from now, but I will say that relocation is not on our agenda. If you want to run a global business, Europe is actually the best place to do that from because of simple things like flight connections and time zones,” says Rolf Habben-Jansen to ShippingWatch.
