Just as Singapore is the maritime heart of Asia, Denmark ought to look towards strengthening its position as the natural place to start a maritime business in Europe thinks Ole Sohn according to the Danish daily, Børsen. He has appointed a think tank to come up with possible solutions as to how Denmark can strengthen its international status as a shipping nation and attract companies from the international maritime industry.

“Within Europe, is not Denmark the most logical choice? We have the competences, the educations and a shipping environment in which sea and land based logistics are highly efficient”, the minister tells the daily.
