DAMCO presents new supply chain solution

DAMCO, the forwarding- and logistics arm of AP-Møller-Maersk, tuesday presented the supply chain solution Damco Dynamic Flow Control, which, according to the company, can lower administration costs by up to 30 percent.

Following a long period of development, with several key customers, Damco presented their new solution, which they call “The GPS of supply chain management”, on Tuesday. The purpose of the solution is to make it possible to re-plan shipments according to the client’s need. This makes the supply chain more flexible and brings many benefits with it, says Damco in a press release.

“As market conditions become more volatile and more difficult to predict, the answer is not to improve your ability to plan, but rather your ability to adapt quickly to demand and supply fluctuations. Damco Dynamic Flow Control automatically adjusts planning to changing requirements while still ensuring true end-to-end optimization of supply chain performance – from Purchase Order to Final Delivery,” says Damco CEO Rolf Habben-Jansen.
