A big gas leak in the North Sea has led to a stop in drilling and an evacuation of employees from three offshore rigs.

All drilling has been suspended and employees have been evacuated from three rigs in the North Sea after a big gas leakage Sunday on the Elgin rig owned by the French oil and gas group, Total. The group has evacuated all of its 238 employees from the leaky rig and has confirmed that it may take months to stop the leak.
