600 Maersk employees back on Esplanaden following heavy rains

The A.P. Moller-Maersk headquarters suffered extensive water damage in the summer of 2011, sending 500-600 employees looking for alternative offices in Copenhagen. Not until a month ago were the last of them able to return to Esplanaden.

The enormous amounts of rain that washed over Denmark on July 2nd 2011, causing massive water damages, also hit the shipping giant A.P.Moller –Maersk’s headquarters on Esplanaden in Copenhagen.

The water came in through the roof, flooding a large area in the headquarters’ southern building, which has since then undergone extensive renovations.
