Stocks go up following the death of Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller

The A.P. Møller-Mærsk stock has gone up on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange following the news of Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller’s death.

The B stock is up 2.2 pct, at rate 42,240. The rate was DKR 41,400 before the announcement.

There has been some speculation that A. P. Møller-Mærsk would perform a major stock split, making shares more readily available to the public.

Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller was opposed to such a split.
