Pram and Smedegaard: Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller’s commitment was enormous.

Chairman of the Board Michael Pram Rasmussen and ship owner Niels Smedegaard Andersen speak mostly of Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller’s commitment to the shipping company – both privately and professionally – when commenting on Mc-Kinney Møller’s passing earlier today.

“Up until the last moments, Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller maintained a strong personal commitment to the shipping company’s affairs. Every week you’d meet him coming up the stairs to the office on the sixth floor at Esplanaden in Copenhagen, from where he would follow developments at the closest range. When dealings of the company would call for an evaluation or comment, Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller would always express his opinions clearly and knowingly, and always based on deep knowledge of the company and its history,” says Michael Pram Rasmussen in a comment released by A. P. Møller-Mærsk following the death of Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller this morning.

His commitment was to the company, society, employees, and family, says ship owner Niels Smedegaard in a press release.
