Hempel maintains ambitious 2015 vision

The Danish paint manufacturer Hempel maintains its ambitious 2015 strategy even as 2011 was not satisfactory. Marine coating will be reduced to approximately 25 percent of the total turnover in 5 years, CEO Pierre-Yves Jullien tells ShippingWatch.

When the French CEO of Hempel, Pierre-Yves Jullien, is looking out the office window, not only the building of the new corporate headquarter on the same ground as the old one makes him see a growth scenario.

Even though the 2011 results was not good enough according to the talkative and direct CEO, Jullien is convinced that the almost 100 year old enterprise will succeed on all of its ambitious goals in its 2015 strategy and move up from being the 17th largest paint manufacturer globally to being number 10.
