The Moller Foundation holds the power in the giant A.P. Moller-Maersk Group and the position as chairman fell vacant last week as Ane Uggla's father, Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller, died at an age of 98 years. The 63 years old Ane Maersk Mc-Kinney Uggla has been Vice Chairman of the Moller Foundation since 1998 and a member of the board since 1986. Before his death, Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller had pointed to his youngest daughter as his powerful successor.
The Moller Foundation was established by Ane Uggla’s grandfather, Arnold Peter Moller, in 1946 to secure that the family company would not be taken over by anyone else.
