
Maersk Drilling is in advanced negotiations with oil companies on the subject of the new ultra deepwater drill ships, states a press release by A.P. Moeller – Maersk, in continuation of the quarterly report released on Wednesday.
Maersk Drilling’s order book now consists of six newbuildings: two ultra harsh jack-ups and four ultra deepwater drillships, which are to be delivered in 2013 and 2014. The two jack-ups have already been secured contracts in Norway.
