Maersk Drilling in advanced negotiations with oil companies

Maersk Drilling is close to securing contracts for the company’s new ultra deepwater drill ships, which will be delivered in 2013 and 2014.

Maersk Drilling is in advanced negotiations with oil companies on the subject of the new ultra deepwater drill ships, states a press release by A.P. Moeller – Maersk, in continuation of the quarterly report released on Wednesday.

Maersk Drilling’s order book now consists of six newbuildings: two ultra harsh jack-ups and four ultra deepwater drillships, which are to be delivered in 2013 and 2014. The two jack-ups have already been secured contracts in Norway.
