Norden appoints Ejner Bonderup as new Dry Cargo Head

Yesterday Norden hired J. Lauritzen’s Head of Dry Cargo, Ejner Bonderup, as the new CEO of the Dry Cargo Department and group president. The company also appointed Lars Bagge Christensen and Martin Badsted to Executive Vice President, informs Norden.

Norden has found the successor to its previous Head of Dry Cargo, Peter Norborg, who decided to leave his position on May 15 this year. The successor will be Ejner Bonderup (46 years old) (see above picture) who has 24 years of experience in dry cargo shipping. Since 2009 Ejner Bonderup has been Head of the Dry Cargo Department in J. Lauritzen Ltd. for which he has worked for 24 years in Denmark, Japan, Australia and the U.S. Ejner Bonderup is educated in shipping, holds a B.A. of economics from Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College, and has also studied management at IESE Business School and IMD.

According to a press release from the company, Ejner Bonderup will join Norden when possible in accordance with the duties of his current employ. Concurrent with the hiring of Ejner Bonderup, the board of directors has decided to strengthen Norden Executive Management with two further members.
