Unifeeder owners focus on stable investments

Unifeeder’s owner, the British private equity firm Montagu, is very pleased with the returns from the Danish feeder company following five years of ownership. ShippingWatch interviews a number of the new institutional investors in the shipping industry.

Even though investments in shipping are usually characterized by ups and downs and heavy seas, it is the exact opposite, namely stability and assured returns, which made the British private equity firm, Montagu, invest in Unifeeder. Unifeeder has met the expectations, informs Montagu, which five years ago acquired the Northern European feeder company from its two founders, Tonny Paulsen and Peter Bohnsen.

“Unifeeder has absolutely met our expectations and they still do, even compared to the other companies we invest in,” says Christian Rasmussen, director of Montagu Private Equity to ShippingWatch.
