Lauritzen Bulkers: Bio fuel a booming market

Power plants’ conversion away from fossil fuels may turn out to become a good piece of business for Lauritzen Bulkers who expects to sign several major contracts in the years to come.

Lauritzen Bulkers expects to obtain a big share of the market for the transportation of bio fuels from the Americas as the European power plants are converting to using less fossil fuel.

Lauritzen Bulkers' Vice President and Head of Handysize Chartering, Claus Stahl, expects that Lauritzen Bulkers will be transporting “a couple million tons” of bio fuel from the United States and Northern Brazil to Europe in the near future.
