
DFDS intends to hold on to the company’s share of the traffic between Dover and Calais despite the competitor Eurotunnel’s intension of reinstating the former Seafrance ships in operation in August. That much is clear from Senior Vice President for the English Channel at DFDS Seaways Carsten Jensen’s statement to Lloyd’s Loading List, in which he reveals that the company is searching for a replacement for the chartered ferry Deal Seaways.
“There’s going to be a capacity situation, but we are dedicated and determined to stay on the Dover-Calais crossing,” says Carsten Jensen to Lloyd’s Loading List.
