The contract which DFDS recently entered into with Volvo sends a strong signal to customers and competitors, believes Peder Geller Pedersen, Executive Vice President of DFDS’ shipping division.

The conclusion of the transportation contract with Volvo Group Logistics and Volvo Cars is an important signal to be able to send to the customers and competitors of DFDS, says Peder Geller Pedersen, Executive Vice President of DFDS’ shipping division, to ShippingWatch.

“We have made a deal with Volvo Logistics and Volvo Cars on our English route. Of course, in the current competitive environment it is important for me to be able to say that the major Swedish industry has continued faith in DFDS and still needs the frequency and the services we offer. There is a great deal of signal value from me in letting the market know that Volvo is onboard and Stora Enso is still onboard as well,” says Peder Gellert Pedersen.
