U.S. authorities have again taken action to impair the Iranian oil industry. The U.S. Treasury has identified 58 National Iranian Tanker Company ships and singled out 27 affiliates with the intention of making it harder for Iran to hide the nationality of its oil cargos.

"It will make it that much more difficult for Iran to deceive potential purchasers about the origin of the oil," says an official from Barack Obama’s administration to Reuters.
