The Danish Maritime Authority ought to draw inspiration from Norway if the maritime industry in Denmark is to develop through a proper national research center, claims the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences in the ideas catalogue, put together with the help of various industry insiders and institutes of learning, which the Academy recently handed in to the Danish Maritime Industry.
The Norwegian research center CeSOS was established in 2003 and will expire in 2012. The research center has had a yearly budget of about 40 million Norwegian kroner, including a great deal of co-financing from the industry.
