“We have previously noticed that there was a great deal of reporting of suspicious conduct, which then turns out to be false alarms. There have been many different reasons, and this is another piece of information which helps to explain the faulty reports,” says Nis Mathiesen, chief analyst at Risk Intelligent, to ShippingWatch.
