Wednesday, Viking Supply Ships published the company’s second quarter results as a Denmark-based shipping company. The company is a part of the Rederi AB Transatlantic group’s two business areas which are in a process of splitting up. Therefore, it is only the company’s second quarterly results. Based in Copenhagen, Viking Supply Ships has not got off to a good start, the results show.
“As we expected, the results for the second quarter was disappointing and reflected a soft spot market for the AHTS fleet and a lack of new activities in the period. However, the results mark a significant improvement from the first quarter results as a result of seasonal and improved operating effects”, the company writes in a press release on the presentation of the results.
